Before you write
Be specific about the failure
"It hallucinates sometimes" is hard to act on. "It invents line items on scanned invoices with two columns" tells us where to look before the call even starts.
You don't need a spec
A paragraph and a link to the feature is enough. If we need more we'll ask on the call rather than send you a questionnaire.
We'll say no if it's a no
If this isn't our problem — or you don't have the problem you think you have — you'll hear that instead of a proposal.
